).The voice of explosion was so loud, which it assumed as a meteor crashed in Jakarta (meteor jatuh di Jakarta). It was based on the shape of the damage.
Researcher from the National Aeronautics and Space Agency (Lapan) Abdurrahman expressed that great explosion that damaged one home residents in Duren Sawit, East Jakarta, is the effect of collision of an asteroid space objects.
"From the temporary examination, this thing is a natural object, namely meteoroid or asteroid. So it's not man-made object such as rocket or satellite, "said Abdurrahman, Friday, April 30, 2010 in Jakarta.
However, Abdurrahman who examining solar activity, said so far never found a lump of rock or asteroid fragments that managed to hit the earth's surface.
"Maybe it's been taken by the Police PUSLABFOR team," he said.
Before reaching the earth's surface, said Abdurrahman, the asteroid would cause such effects as fireworks light beam.
When the asteroid reached to earth, he said, the effect of the collision will cause destruction and melting the stuff around it.
